Rainer König (born December 13, 1953 in Dresden ) is a German pantomime and actor .

life and career

Rainer König worked as an electronics technician and studied cultural and theater studies in Leipzig . He is a co-founder of the clown troupe “Salto vitale” in the GDR. She has made guest appearances in the Soviet Union , the ČSSR , the Netherlands and Austria . In 1986 he co-founded the "theater 50" in Dresden with "Salto vitale" and the actor Olaf Böhme .

As a clown he has appeared in shows such as Panem et Circenses and Pomp Duck & Circumstances . At the Karl May Festival in Bad Segeberg he played Sam Hawkins.

König played the title role in "Die Hexe Baba Jaga" in several parts (500 performances from 2005 to 2017) in the Comedy Dresden and in the Boulevard Theater Dresden, in the State Operetta Dresden the chief eunuch in " The Land of Smiles " and the Drake in " The Begging Student ".

In 2012 Rainer König played four roles for the director Eric Dean Hordes in his first work The Founder . In 2015, the two worked again for the film Goblin - That's Real Troll , in which König played the roles of Sea King and the magician Schnitzel alongside Desiree Nick and Jiří Lábus .

In the Kurländer Palais in Dresden he appears in "Dracula's Wedding".

Private

König lives near Dresden and has two children.
