Rainer Voßen

Rainer Voßen (born December 6, 1951 in Düsseldorf ) is a German Africanist .

Life

From 1972 to 1982 he studied African studies, ethnology, history and prehistory and early history at the University of Cologne . After receiving his doctorate in 1982 as Dr. phil. In Cologne , he was a temporary academic advisor at the Chair of African Studies II at the University of Bayreuth from 1984 to 1990 . After completing his habilitation in 1990 in Bayreuth , he was temporary senior assistant at the Chair of African Studies II and private lecturer at the University of Bayreuth from 1990 to 1992 . In 1993 he became a university professor (C3) for African languages ​​/ linguistics at Goethe University .
