Rainer Rudolf Wild (born May 24, 1943 in Heidelberg ) is a German entrepreneur and founder . He is the sole owner of the Dr. Rainer Wild Holding GmbH & Co. KG .

Life

Rainer Wild was born in Heidelberg in 1943 . After graduating from the English Institute in 1961, he began studying chemistry at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg. After studying in Cambridge and Béziers, he successfully completed his studies in 1968. After graduating as Dr. rer. nat. Rainer Wild completed a two-year postgraduate course in economics in Munich with a focus on natural product chemistry. Wild then worked at Beckman Instruments as head of the “Biochemical Devices” department. In 1975 he joined his parents' company, the Rudolf Wild factories in Eppelheim near Heidelberg. As managing partner, he made a significant contribution to the expansion of the Wild Group into an internationally successful company. In 1996 Rainer Wild resigns from the management of Rudolf Wild GmbH & Co. KG. The following year, he founded Heidelberger Naturfarben GmbH & Co. KG, which was renamed Tinti GmbH & Co. KG in 2010 and is now the leading manufacturer of bathing fun products for children. In 2002, Rainer Wild took hold of various personally held investments, but above all the Heidelberger Naturfarben and SAM International AG, under the umbrella of Dr. Rainer Wild Holding GmbH & Co. KG. In 2014 Martin Fuchs Spielwaren GmbH & Co. KG and in 2016 the Dutch group Nature's choice bv were added.

Rainer Wild is CEO and founder of the eponymous and Heidelberg-based foundation for healthy nutrition . Founded in 1991, Dr. The Rainer Wild Foundation is actively committed to a contemporary and responsible approach to nutrition. The non-profit and independent foundation sees itself as a competence center for healthy nutrition and a contact for scientists, multipliers and the interested public. It regularly offers events such as B. the Heidelberg Nutrition Forum and awards the Dr. Rainer Wild Prize for outstanding performance in line with the foundation's philosophy. Academic engagement

From 1993 to 2004 Rainer Wild held a teaching position at the University of Hohenheim at the Institute for Food Technology. In 1996 he was appointed honorary professor by the University of Hohenheim . The Prof. Wild Award is given at regular intervals at the University of Hohenheim.
