Raj Krishna Tandon

Raj Krishna Tandon (born February 10, 1910 in Agra , † December 8, 1986 ) was an Indian diplomat .

Life

On June 13, 1934, Tandon was called to court in London as a barrister . In June 1939 he was inducted into the Indian Civil Service . In June 1942 he was appointed assistant secretary to the British India Department for Information and Broadcasting . From May 1946 to 1948 he was commercial attaché at the Indian mission in Colombo under VV Giri .

From 1948 to 1950 Tandon was Deputy Controler Import and Export in Bombay . In 1950 he was Assistant Secretary for Imports for the Government of India. From 1950 to 1953 he was Consul General in Puducherry in French India . 1954 he was u. a. Acting Consul General in the Belgian Congo .

From 1954 to 1957, Tandon was a commissioner in Singapore and Malaysia . From 1957 to 1959 he was liaison secretary and master of ceremonies in the Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. From April 2, 1960 to 1963 he was ambassador in The Hague . From 1963 to 1965 he was High Commissioner in Nairobi . From 1965 to 1968 he was ambassador to Dublin .

In 1985 he was President of the Association of Indian Diplomats, a society of former Indian ambassadors and high commissioners in New Delhi.
