Rajkot was a princely state of British India in the center of the Kathiawar peninsula in what is now the state of Gujarat . Its capital was the place Rajkot . The principality was founded in 1620 by Thakur Sahib Vibhaji Ajoji, a grandson of the Jam Sataji of Nawanagar .
