Ralf Donis

Ralf Donis (mostly just Donis , also DJ Donis ; born March 27, 1968 in Leipzig ) is a German rock singer , DJ , entertainer and author .

Career

Donis has been a DJ since 1989. He is not limited to any musical direction. Since 1990 he has been writing about the music scene for regional publications such as the city magazine kreuzer or Persona Non Grata . As a singer he worked in the groups Love Is Colder Than Death and Think About Mutation , he recorded seven albums with the two bands. As a solo artist, Donis covered the NDW hit Zauberstab by ZaZa in 2008 and published the track Paul is dead on a sampler in June 2015 , which was not included in the Leipziger street newspaper . Sebastian Krumbiegel played the piano and Tim Thoelke played the guitar . These three have performed a vinyl revue together several times in the Leipzig Central Theater. Donis also appeared in Thoelke's Comedy Roast Show at the Neue Schauspiel Leipzig . In 2010, Die Zeit described him as “the worst rampage pig” of the “Leipzig underground comedy”.

Donis is an employee of the Leipzig club Tanzcafé Ilses Erika , which opened in 1998 , for which he works as a resident DJ and presenter and has developed various event concepts. As a connoisseur of the Leipzig scene, he is in demand and appeared as such in the 2011 documentary Besser Anders - Leipzig subcultures between rebellion and adaptation . He is considered an expert on horror films, and he also gives lectures on this genre.
