Tim Thoelke (born April 8, 1972 in Hanover , real name Tim Hespen ) is a German musician , DJ and presenter .

Thoelke grew up in Mellendorf and moved to Hanover at the age of 15. From 1990 to 2003 he was active as a musician in several projects. He played in the punk band The Devil in shorts with Sven Amtsberg and was the lead singer and guitarist in the band Systemhysterie , which he co-founded in 1996. During this time he began to appear as a DJ, including in the Hanoverian club Bei Chéz Heinz .

He has lived in Leipzig since 2002 . In addition to numerous DJ appearances in the city, he worked as a resident DJ in the dance café Ilses Erika . In 2004 he developed the monthly quiz show format Riskier Dein Bier there, which has been broadcast on Leipzig TV since 2008 . In 2011 Riskier Dein Bier moved to the Moritzbastei in Leipzig , where he has been organizing the monthly song slam together with Julius Fischer since 2010 . He designed other formats for Leipzig TV, including Tim im Turm , Tim Thoelke's night snack and Thoelke's home visit, for which he was awarded the Saxon Local TV Prize in 2012.

Since July 2011 he has been the stadium announcer for RB Leipzig .

From April to August 2012 the internet radio station Absolut Radio broadcast 19 episodes of Tim Thoelke's Vinyl Revue . In January 2014, he organized the first Leipzig Comedy Roast Show at the Neue Schauspiel Leipzig , which is to take place twice a year. Guests of the first edition included Sebastian Krumbiegel , Ralf Donis (ex-singer of the band Think About Mutation ), André Herrmann and The Fuck Hornisschen Orchestra .

On September 12, 2017 , Thoelke released the fansong "Wir sind die Crew (from RB Leipzig)" in collaboration with Julius Fischer .
