Sven Amtsberg (* 1972 in Hanover ) is a German writer and publisher .

Life

Sven Amtsberg has lived in Hamburg since 1996 . He works as a writer and organizer of readings ; He was also a founding member of the Hamburg literary club Die Macht e. V. At times he ran the Schwamm-Verlag, which he founded in 1995. Amtsberg writes short stories and novels. In 2001 and 2008 he received the Hamburg Prize for Literature . He also organizes city ​​tours with invented information. In order to support aspiring writers on their difficult path to success, he founded the authoring school Autorendock in 2009 ; seminars for aspiring writers are offered there. From December 2010 to May 2012, his column Amtsbergsviews appeared in the Hamburger Abendblatt on Thursdays .

In 2020, he was awarded a Robert Gernhardt Prize for his novel project Rakete Schmidt .
