Ralf Schuler

Ralf Schuler (born in 1965 in East Berlin ) is a German journalist .

Life

After graduating from high school, Schuler was initially not allowed to study for political reasons and completed an apprenticeship as a mechanic in metalworking . He then worked in the production of light bulbs .

From 1985 Schuler began as a volunteer at Neue Zeit . In 1986 he became its editor and Balkan correspondent until the newspaper was discontinued in 1994. From 1989 he completed a distance learning course in literature and cultural studies . In 1995 he became editor of the world , 1998 head of politics of the Märkische Allgemeine until 2011. In the meantime he heads the parliamentary editorial office of Bild .

In 2019 his book Let's Be Populists: Ten Theses for a New Culture of Disputes was published .

Schuler is married and has three children.
