Ralph Denk (born November 1, 1973 in Bad Aibling ) is a former racing cyclist and later manager of cycling teams .

Denk began cycling at the age of 14. As an amateur racing driver , he took part in the Bayern Tour and six-day races until 1995 . He was Bavarian champion several times and achieved third place in the amateur six-day race in Munich .

After retiring from active cycling, he became the technical representative of the bike component manufacturer SRAM in 1996 and opened a bike shop in Raubling in 2000 . He also headed nationally registered mountain bike and road cycling teams : First of all, the Ralph Denk Racing Team , which initially served to make its cycling business known nationwide. This was later renamed the Giant Racing Team and top international mountain bikers such as Roel Paulissen and Bart Brentjens rode for the team. Later he also initiated the U19 road junior team Quest-Ralph-Denk-Team , which later took up the name Auto Eder Bayern .

Before the 2010 season, Denk founded the operating company of a team that, under the name Team NetApp , received a license as a Continental Team for the 2010 season from the Union Cycliste Internationale . In 2011 his team received a license as a Professional Continental Team and took part in the Tour de France for the first time in 2014 . The team operated by Ralph Denk pro cycling GmbH was renamed Bora-hansgrohe in 2017 and received a UCI WorldTeam license for the first time for the 2017 and 2018 seasons .
