Ramón César Bóveda (born March 18, 1949 in Pirané ) is a former Argentine football player. At club level, he was mainly active for Rosario Central and Atlético Nacional , and was also a multiple national player.
Career
Club career
Ramón Bóveda started playing football at the Rosario Central club . From 1968 he played in the club's first team and was a member of this until 1975. Rosario Central was one of the up-and-coming teams of the Argentine Primera División , they established themselves in the top tier of the league during this time. In the 1971 season , Rosario Central achieved a really big success for the first time. Under coach Ángel Labruna and with players like Aldo Poy , Daniel Killer or Jorge Carrascosa , the final for the Torneo Nacional won 2-1 against CA San Lorenzo de Almagro and won the Argentine championship title for the first time in the club's history. Two years later this success could be repeated. Once again, Rosario Central successfully designed the Torneo Nacional after taking first place in the final round with two points ahead of River Plate . Ramón Bóveda was part of the Rosario Central squad for both championships.
In 1975 Ramón Bóveda played his last season for the time being in the jersey of Rosario Central after eight years. He spent the following two years in Colombia with Atlético Nacional , where he won the Colombian football championship in 1976 under the Argentinian coach Osvaldo Zubeldía . This was achieved by taking first place in the table, six points ahead of Atlético Junior . For the 1978 season Ramón Bóveda returned to his home in Argentina to Rosario Central, where he spent the 1978 and 1979 seasons in a second creative period, but he did not win the championship again.
From 1980 to 1981, the midfielder was then active for CA Platense , then a year at CA Sarmiento . Ramón Bóveda ended his career in 1983 at Unión San Vicente . There he ended his football career at the age of 34.
National team
Between 1972 and 1975 Ramón Bóveda made eight international matches for the Argentine national football team . He scored a goal. With the national team, Bóveda played the Copa America 1975 , which, however, ended for the Argentine selection after the preliminary round as second in the group behind Brazil . After that, Bóveda did not play another international match.
