Ramon Ortega Quero

Ramón Ortega Quero (born in Granada in 1988 ) is a Spanish oboist .

Life

At a very early age he received training from Miguel Quirós and at the age of twelve he became part of the Andalusian Youth Orchestra. In 2003 Daniel Barenboim accepted him into the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra . His award at the ARD International Music Competition brought him worldwide attention and recognition. Ramón Ortega Quero has been principal oboist with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra since 2008 . Here was Gregor Witt , for its part, principal oboist of the Berlin Staatskapelle , his mentor.

Concert partner and festivals

Ramón Ortega Quero has already given concerts with the Konzerthausorchester Berlin , the MDR-Sinfonieorchester Leipzig and the NDR Radiophilharmonie Hannover , the Sinfonieorchester Basel and the São Paulo Symphony Orchestra . His previous chamber music partners include Kit Armstrong , Mitsuko Uchida , Herbert Schuch , Janine Jansen , Guy Braunstein and Tabea Zimmermann .

He has already been heard at international music festivals in Gstaad , Jerusalem , Lucerne , the London Proms , Heidelberg , Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and the Rheingau Music Festival .
