Ram Oren (born 1936 in Tel Aviv , League of Nations mandate for Palestine ) is an Israeli lawyer, journalist , writer and publisher .

Life

Oren was born in Tel Aviv. He gained his first experience in a newspaper publisher as a 15-year-old messenger for the Jedi'ot Acharonot newspaper , from 1952 to 1955 he was its correspondent . From 1955 to 1958 he was a reporter for the weekly newspaper Bamahane of the Israel Army . From 1958 to 1963 he studied law at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. From 1964 to 1994 he worked again for Jedi'ot Acharonot, among other things as chief reporter in New York . In 1994 he published his first novel, Seduction . In 1996 he founded the Keshet publishing house. 2010 appeared in German translation by Evelyn Reuter For you I dared. A child, a promise and a dramatic rescue over Gertruda Bablinska , who saved the three-year-old Michael Stolowitzky , who was entrusted to her, from the Holocaust.
