Haerizadeh's photo collages take up traditional Persian handicrafts and are mainly based on tapestries and textiles. The artist manipulates images with computer programs, rearranges them and then prints them out in large format. This creates a mixture of the lost culture of Iran with modern, smooth surfaces. Haerizadeh transforms the tradition, myth and legend of Persia into the present and criticizes the prevailing conditions in Iran.
