The Ramshaldenhütte , also called "Ramshalde", in the Black Forest is an Alpine Club hut of the Freiburg-Breisgau section of the German Alpine Club .
The hut is located in the district of Breitnau , on a hill in the district of Fahrenberg , on federal road 500 between the Thurnerwirtshaus and Hinterzarten. It is easily recognizable from the street, there is a large edelweiss on the gable . The “Ramshalde” bus stop is also on the road below the hut.
etymology
The name comes from Ramse , the Alemannic name for the common winged gorse (cf. Ramselegut ). This bright yellow plant no longer grows in front of the hut, the soil around the house is now used for agriculture.
Approaches
From the climatic health resort of Hinterzarten in the Black Forest , the scenic hike leads through the high moor and the Weißtannenhöhe to Breitnau.
