Adriane Wachholz
Adriane Wachholz (* 1979 in Opole ) is a German artist of Polish origin who works with the media of drawing, installation and video .
life and work
From 2000 to 2003 she studied fine art in the field of film / video at the Art Academy in Münster with Andreas Köpnick . She then took part in the Erasmus program at the École supérieure des beaux-arts de Genève in Geneva (now HEAD), in the field of experimental drawing and performance . In 2005 she continued her studies in the class for installation and sculpture with Guillaume Bijl , where she graduated as a master class student since 2006 and graduated in 2007.
Wachholz lives and works in Berlin and in the Ruhr area .
Awards and grants
In 2007 Wachholz was awarded the Ida Gerhardi Prize. In 2008 she received the Nam June Paik Award from the Kunststiftung NRW (category: National) for “outstanding electronic and digital works of art”. In 2009 Wachholz was the main winner of the DEW 21 Art Prize in Dortmund. In 2012 she also received the sponsorship award from the Sparkasse Unna Cultural Foundation.
Wachholz participated in various artist-in-residence programs and received numerous grants:

- 2014 studio grant from the Salzamt Linz, Austria
- 2012 Exhibition funding from the Institute for Foreign Relations (IFA) and the Society for the Promotion of Westphalian Cultural Work (GWK)
- 2010 Wilhelm Morgner Scholarship, Soest
- 2010 Saari residence of the Kone Foundation, Finland
- 2009 Nes Artist Residence, Iceland
- 2008 Bellevue-Saal scholarship, Wiesbaden
- 2004 Freemover grant from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD)
