Ramwod (also Ramuold , Ramwold ) (* around 900 in Trier (?); † May 17 (or June 17) 1000 in Regensburg ) was an abbot in the monastery of Sankt Emmeram .

At first Ramwod was a Benedictine in the imperial abbey of St. Maximin in Trier. In 975 Ramwod was called to Regensburg by Bishop Wolfgang . There he became the first "independent abbot" of the St. Emmeram monastery, that is, the first abbot who was not also Bishop of Regensburg. Under his leadership, St. Emmeram became a spiritual and religious center. He significantly expanded the monastery church and was buried in the outer crypt (Ramwoldkrypta) built by him, surrounded by the reliquary he had brought there. Under him, St. Emmeram also flourished in the field of illumination.

Ramwod is considered to be the patron saint against eye ailments, as he went blind for two years and is said to have suddenly recovered. Ramwod was beatified . His festival is on June 17th.
