Ramzy Al-Duhami ( Arabic رمزي الدهامي, DMG Ramzī ad-Duhāmī ; * January 5, 1972 in Riyadh ) is a Saudi show jumper .

Career

Ramzy Al-Duhami started riding at the age of ten as his parents bought a couple of small Arab horses for their farm. A year later he was already taking part in competitions. When Ramzy was twelve years old, his father sent him to Great Britain to train more there. At the age of 14 he took part in his first international competition in Dubai. Three years later he was allowed to train with three other Saudi riders under the American Bernie Traurig . Later his coaches were among others Paul Schockemöhle , Nelson Pessoa and Stanny van Paesschen .

Ramzy Al-Duhami took part in a total of five Summer Olympics ( 1996 , 2000 , 2004 , 2008 and 2012 ) in show jumping . In 2008 he achieved his best individual result with rank 23 in Beijing. In team jumping in 2012 he won the bronze medal with the Saudi team.
