Randy Dutra
Randal Michael Dutra III (born before 1975) is a film technician who specializes in visual effects and works for Industrial Light & Magic .
Life
Durta studied painting in British Columbia from 1975 to 1984 . He exhibited many of his work and taught animal sculpture in San Francisco .
After Dutra worked as a creature technician on Return of the Jedi , used the stop-motion technique on some films such as Howard the Duck and House II , and worked as a sculptor for Nightmare Before Christmas , he animated in Forgotten World: Jurassic Park the movements of the dinosaurs and was nominated for an Oscar with his colleagues Dennis Muren , Stan Winston and Michael Lantieri in the category Best Visual Effects . Dutra can also boast an Oscar nomination for his last film War of the Worlds , which was also directed by Steven Spielberg .
Durta is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences .
