The Randy Rogers Band is an American country band from the Red Dirt / Texas Country scene.
history
The Randy Rogers Band was formed by the group's eponymous frontman with some friends in Texas . The group had their first release in 2000 with the live album Live at Cheatham Street Warehouse , recorded in San Marcos , Texas, and their first studio album Like It Used to Be followed two years later. Just like the Rollercoaster released in 2004, it did not reach any chart positions, but ensured that the Randy Rogers Band signed a contract with the Universal Music Group or their label Mercury Nashville after a long search .
With the company name behind them, their third studio work was a success, with Just a Matter of Time they made it into the top ten of the country album charts and number 61 on the Billboard 200 . In 2007, the band was named in a Rolling Stone leaderboard alongside greats like U2 and the Rolling Stones . In September 2008 they released a new album, which got the same name as the band itself and made it to number 3 on the country charts. The five musicians were able to surpass this success with Burning the Day in 2010 , when they were represented in the top ten of the Billboard 200 for the first time. In the country charts they reached number 2, which was also a record for them. On April 30, 2013 the new CD Trouble was released. In addition to their studio activities, the band is touring a lot in the US southern states , especially in Texas. Rogers is supported by Radney Foster , who works as a mentor and producer for the band.
