Raoul Kraushaar

Raoul Kraushaar (born August 20, 1908 in Paris , France , † October 13, 2001 in Pompano Beach , Florida ) was an American composer .

biography

Raoul Kraushaar was the son of an orchestral musician. As a stowaway, he immigrated to the USA by ship in 1926. At Columbia University studied Kraushaar at Hugo Riesenfeld music and then moved to California in order to establish itself in the entertainment industry. From the late 1930s he was regularly involved in film and was able to establish himself as a film composer for B-Movies . Because of his large music archive, Kraushaar often contributed music to projects in which he was not actually employed as a musician. During his 35-year film career from 1937 to 1972, he received over 220 film credits.

After retiring from the music business, he lived with his wife in Florida, where he died of natural causes at his home on October 13, 2001 at the age of 93. He left four daughters, a son, 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
