history
Mast and Stroud found each other in 2001 and played their first concert under the current band name in September 2003 after they had to give up the original name Cherry for legal reasons. Their first single, Seventeen Years , was released in 2003 on the Rex Records label as a 12 "record. In the same year, Evan Mast and his brother Eric - under the stage names E * vax and E * rocks - founded the Audio Dregs label , which released the single in November Released in a second edition limited to 1100 copies in 2003. The first studio album entitled Ratatat was released in April 2004 on the independent label XL Recordings , from which the single Germany to Germany was released in October 2004.
