The Rathaus-Galerie Leverkusen is a shopping center in the Bergisch city of Leverkusen . It is the largest shopping center in the city and is operated by the Hamburg-based ECE group . The Rathaus-Galerie is currently still owned by the open-ended real estate fund CS Euroreal , which is currently being wound up and valued at € 207.4 million as of March 31, 2014.

The Rathaus-Galerie was opened on February 24, 2010. According to the operator, the investment in the construction of the shopping center was 200 million euros. On the first three floors, 22,600 m² of retail space was set up, which is used by around 120 specialist shops. There are also areas for restaurants and various service providers. Well-known brands or retailers, among others, the fashion chains C&A and H&M , the electronics store Saturn , the bookstore Thalia and the food retailer REWE have rented sales areas. Above that there are two parking levels with almost 500 parking spaces. In the middle above it is a glass rotunda , which houses the town hall on more than 5000 m². Every day around 28,300 visitors come to the Rathaus-Galerie, where 950 employees work.
Infrastructure
The gallery is located in the center of Wiesdorf , the center of Leverkusen, on the Friedrich-Ebert-Platz area. In the course of the redesign of the area, the old Leverkusen town hall from 1977, the town hall and the Bayer department store were demolished by 2007 . More than 630,000 people live in the catchment area, which is up to 45 minutes away. The shopping center can be reached by local public transport, via the A 1 and A 3 as well as the federal highways 8 , 51 and 232 .
