The 1981 Founded Rational Software has focused with system analysis and -design busy and developed numerous tools for this purpose and offered. Rational Software was bought by IBM in 2003 for $ 2.1 billion. However, the company and product names have been retained so far. In June 2007, IBM also submitted an offer to Telelogic , which operates in the same division, to further expand its market position. In April 2008, the acquisition of Telelogic was completed and the acquired products and services were integrated into the company's internal Rational division.
