Telelogic AB ( Stockholm Stock Exchange : TLOG ) is a multinational company from IBM for software and service based in Malmo , Sweden , and more than 1,300 employees. IBM takeover
On June 11, 2007, IBM announced that it would take over Telelogic for the equivalent of 557 million euros. Telelogic's board of directors recommended accepting the offer. With Rational Rose, IBM has a competitor product to Tau / Modeler / Rhapsody / System Architect and Rational RequisitePro, a competitor product to DOORS. In addition, the widely used tools for software configuration management (IBM Rational ClearCase vs. Telelogic Synergy) and change management (IBM Rational ClearQuest vs. Telelogic Change) competed with each other. IBM therefore planned to expand the market position it had gained through the takeover of Rational Software in 2003 and to strengthen its own portfolio by merging the respective products on the Jazz platform. For this reason, the EU Commission examined the takeover, but concluded it without hesitation, since the "special products from IBM and Telelogic do not compete directly with one another". On April 28, 2008, IBM completed the purchase of Telelogic.
