Rausch is a part of the municipality of Herrsching am Ammersee in the Upper Bavarian district of Starnberg .
The place is northwest of the core town of Herrsching am Ammersee. The St 2017 runs to the west and extends the 46.6 km² Ammersee . To the east lies the 107.5 hectare Herrschinger Moos nature reserve , while the 1.95 km² Pilsensee extends to the northeast .
