Ravil Tagir ( Kazakh Равиль Тагир ; born May 6, 2003 in Shambyl ) is a Turkish - Kazakh football player who has been under contract with Altınordu Izmir since the beginning of his professional career . He is also a young Turkish national player.

Career

Tagir is a tall defender at 1.82 m , more precisely he plays in central defense as a left central defender .

Tagir comes from the talent factory of the youth academy, Altınordu Football Academy (ALFA) , from Altınordu Izmir and moved permanently to the professional team in June 2019; there he signed his first professional contract, which ran for three years. Later in August 2019 he made his professional debut for Altınordu Izmir in the TFF 1st Lig , the second highest Turkish league division. In the current season, the 16-year-old Tagir became a regular player. A Turkish football expert predicts the talented defender to be the next or new Çağlar Söyüncü .

National team

A native Kazakh Tagir received Turkish citizenship in 2018 and began in March 2018 his international career in the U15 juniors of Turkey . In January 2019, he won the 20th edition of the Aegean Cup with the Turkish U16s.

In August 2019, at the age of 16, Tagir was appointed to the Turkish U21 national team for the first time by the Turkish U21 national coach Vedat İnceefe ; he was the youngest player in the squad. Tagir made his U21 international debut in the first game on September 6, 2019, right in the starting eleven in qualifying for the U21 European Championship in 2021 .
