Hüseyin Eroğlu (born November 2, 1972 in Delmenhorst ) is a former German - Turkish soccer player and coach.

Player career

Eroğlu was the son of Turkish guest workers in Delmenhorst . Here he began in the youth departments of local football clubs with club football. At the age of 21 he moved to Turkey and started his career as a professional football player with third division club Soma Sotesspor . At this club, he quickly made it into the regular formation. After the club missed relegation in the 3rd Futbol Ligi in the summer of 1995 , Eroğlu switched to city rivals Soma Linyitspor , the company sports team of the local lignite works. For this club he played the next three seasons in the 2nd Futbol Ligi as a regular player.

For the 1998/99 season Eroğlu moved to Marmarisspor within the 2nd Turkish League . Already in its first season Eroğlus Klub reached the playoff phase, but failed in the quarterfinals to Batman Petrolspor . Eroğlu was one of the busiest players on his team with 32 league appearances. In the second season Marmarisspor missed relegation.

After missing relegation with Marmarisspor, Eroğlu moved on to third division club Akhisar Belediyespor in the summer of 2000 . At this club, too, he immediately established himself as a regular player and top performer. Since the Turkish professional league system was expanded from three to four leagues in the summer of 2001, Eroğlu played with Akhisar Belediyespor from then on in the fourth-highest division called TFF 3rd Lig . After a year he moved to third division Eskişehirspor , but returned to Akhisar Belediyespor after a year.

Eroğlu played for Akhisar until the summer of 2005 and then moved to the amateur league at Kemalpaşaspor . Here he played for one or two years and then ended his football career.

Coaching career

Following his football career, Eroğlu began working as a youth coach for third division Bucaspor . Eroğlu worked in the Bucaspor youth department, which was recognized throughout the country due to its progressive concept, until summer 2012.

For the 2012/13 season he took over the position of head coach at city rivals, the fourth division Altınordu Izmir , and worked in this position for the first time. In his first season, his team took the lead early on and kept it sovereign until the end of the season. So he was with the team fourth division champion and helped this to direct promotion back to the TFF 2nd Lig . Eroğlu and his team also continued this successful course in the third division and only became champions of the autumn and third division champions two days before the end of the season. As a result, Altınordu returned after 24 years of abstinence back to the TFF 1st Lig , in the second highest Turkish league. Eroğlu achieved these successes with a very young and inexperienced team, whose players either come from their own youth department or were found by scouting.
