The Ravine Melville , in the upper reaches Ravine Edwin , is a short river on the west coast of Dominica in the Parish of Saint George .
geography
The Ravine Edwin rises near Eggleston ( Bells Estate ) in the northwestern foothills of the Morne Anglais . The short river curves west in a shallow north arc, crossing Reigate and Adville Battery . In the lower reaches it then bears the name Ravine Melville. The river has only a very narrow catchment area, since it runs between the catchment area of the Canari River in the south and the catchment area of the Roseau River (the River Douce runs parallel for parts and only a few meters away.) The Ravine Melville flows into the area of Newtown ( Fortuné Estate ) in the Caribbean Sea .
