Raymond Burki
Raymond Burki (born September 2, 1949 in Epalinges ; died December 29, 2016 ) was a Swiss press draftsman , caricaturist and illustrator .
Life
After an apprenticeship as a photo retoucheur in Lausanne, Burki went to Paris for a year and then worked again in Switzerland. His first cartoon appeared in the Tribune Le Matin in 1976 . He was then employed by the newspaper 24 Heures , which published around 8,000 caricatures of him in 38 years. The SonntagsZeitung and the magazine Bilan also printed his caricatures. His caricatures have been published in several anthologies.
