Raymond Thiry
Raymond Thiry (born September 29, 1959 in Amsterdam ) is a Dutch actor .
Life
Thiry starred in the 1994 film Venus im Pelz and in the 1998 television film Novellen: Tussen de bomen . In 2006 he took over the role of "Lucien" in the film Langer licht and received a nomination at the Dutch film festival for it.
From the following year he turned alternately films, television films and television series.
In the movie Mein Kriegswinter , shot in 2008 , he took on the role of "Johan". The film is also known under the English title Winter in Wartime and was nominated for the 2009 Oscar film prizes for best foreign film and the Satellite Award .
In 2008 he shot two episodes of the television series S1ngle and the following year the two television films Alex in Amsterdam and Wittevis . Also in 2009 he starred in Floris Parlevliet's feature film Mesopotamië . In 2010, further appearances in the series De Troon and Verborgen gebreken followed .
Thiry was nominated for the Golden Calf Award at the Dutch Film Festival in 2006 for best actor ( Langer licht ). For the same film he received the 2007 award for best actor at the Festival du cinéma nordique in Rouen . In 2009 he won the Best Supporting Actor category at the Dutch Film Festival .
