Raymund Havenith (born July 17, 1947 in Aachen , † July 15, 1993 in Usingen ) was a German pianist and university professor .

Raymund Havenith came from a family of musicians in Aachen and received his first lessons from his father, the church musician and choir director Josef Havenith (1919–1978).

He studied at the Cologne University of Music with Günter Ludwig . During his studies he won the Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy Prize in 1970 . In the same year he passed his concert exam with Sergei Rachmaninoff's 3rd piano concerto . As a scholarship holder of the German National Academic Foundation , he continued his studies at the Conservatoire de musique de Genève . In 1970 Raymund Havenith began his concert activities as part of the 15th national selection of "Young Artist Concerts" by the German Music Council .

He made his debut in London in 1975 and in 1977 with the Berliner Philharmoniker at the Berliner Festspiele. Further concerts led to European countries as well as to Korea and Taiwan. In addition to his chamber music activities, he made radio and vinyl recordings.

From 1986 until his death in 1993 he led the master class for piano at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts .

Raymund Havenith had been married to the Korean-German pianist Jimin Oh-Havenith since 1980 , with whom he performed as a piano duo. The marriage resulted in a daughter, Martha Nari Havenith (* 1982).
