Raymundo Rodrigues Barbosa
Raymundo Rodrigues Barbosa (born October 18, 1875 in Belém , Pará , † April 7, 1968 in Rio de Janeiro ) was a Brazilian officer, most recently in the rank of major general .
Life
Barbosa completed an officer training in the army ( Exército Brasileiro ) of the armed forces and subsequently found various uses as an officer and staff officer. On August 30, 1924 he succeeded César Resende do Régo Monteiro as governor of the state of Amazonas and held this office until December 1, 1924, whereupon Alfredo Sá took his place. After his promotion to brigadier general , he released Artur Neiva as governor of the state of Bahia on July 15, 1931 and held this office until his replacement by Juracy Montenegro Magalhães on September 19, 1931. In December 1937 he was promoted to major general and was a member of the Superior Tribunal Militar from February 23, 1938 to October 6, 1943 .
