Realization
Realization is a climbing route first started in 2001 by Chris Sharma in the climbing area Céüse ( France ). It was the first route in the world with grade 9a + , where the difficulty level was confirmed by other climbers. However, the Open Air route at Schleierwasserfall in Tyrol , which Alexander Huber started in 1996 for the first time and classified it as 9a, was also rated 9a + by Adam Ondra in 2008. The first route with this level of difficulty would have been climbed five years earlier.
Since in France the route name is usually given by the developer (and not, as is usual in most other countries, by the first climber) of a route, the route is still sometimes given its original name Biography (sometimes as a biography extension ) , especially in France. The Spanish repeater Usobiaga also used this name.
It was drilled in 1989 by Jean-Christophe Lafaille , the lower section (level of difficulty 8c +) first climbed in 1996 by Arnaud Petit . Petit called the route biography . The key point of Realization in level 7b + is above the diverter of the route biography. Chris Sharma was the first to climb the whole line in one go and named it Realization. So far, 14 climbers have been able to repeat the route.
