Rebecca Lyne

Rebecca Lyne ( Rebecca Louise "Becky" Lyne ; born July 4, 1982 in Sheffield ) is a British middle -distance runner who specializes in the 800-meter distance .

In 2002 she started for England at the Commonwealth Games in Manchester , but was eliminated in advance. The following year she won the U23 European Championships in 2003 in Bydgoszcz.

In 2006 she became national champion, won the bronze medal at the European Athletics Championships in Gothenburg and came fourth at the Athletics World Cup in Athens . She was named Athlete of the Year by the British Athletics Writers' Association .

The following year she was nominated for the 2007 World Athletics Championships in Osaka, but waived because of an injury in favor of Jenny Meadows . Subsequent injuries prevented her from continuing her previous achievements.

Becky Lyne is 1.72 m tall, weighs 55 kg and starts for the Hallamshire Harriers.
