Rebecka Liljeberg

Rebecka Månstråle Liljeberg (born May 13, 1981 in Nykvarn ) is a Swedish actress and doctor.

biography

Rebecka Liljeberg, who has three siblings, is of Finnish and Swedish descent. Her second name is Swedish and means moon ray .
During her childhood the family moved very often before finally staying in Stockholm at 15 . From 1993 to 1997 Liljeberg played in the local theater group Nynäshamns Ungdoms Theater.

At the age of nine she had her first small role in a television series, her greatest international success was in 1998 with the film Raus aus Åmål , for which she and her film colleague Alexandra Dahlström received the Swedish Guldbagge Film Award for Best Actress . She then starred in various films and series before retiring from the film business in 2002 to study medicine at the Karolinska Institutet near Stockholm. She lives there today with her boyfriend, with whom she now has three children. In her last film The Kiss of the Bear by Sergei Bodrow , she played alongside Joachim Król . The film was nominated for the Golden Lion at the Venice International Film Festival .
