Racer 75 in Kings Dominion ( Doswell , Virginia , USA ) is a Racing - wooden roller coaster manufacturer's Philadelphia Toboggan Coasters with the serial number 143 , which on May 3, 1975 as Rebel Yell was opened.
The track has a red side and a blue side. Both routes are the same length and have almost the same layout. It reaches a height of 26 m and has a maximum gradient of 50 °.
history
- Rebel Yell originally ran parallel to Lake Charles , a large man-made lake in the northwest area of Kings Dominion. In the early 1990s two-thirds of the lake was drained to make way for a new water park to be built .
- Between 1993 and 2007, trains reversed on one side of Rebel Yell. However, these were turned forward again, as there were complaints from visitors who complained about back problems.
- It was named after the battle cry Rebel yell , which was used by Confederate soldiers during the Civil War .
- It is a filming location in the 1977 film Roller Coaster .
- Since the 2018 season, it has been called Racer 75 , based on its opening year.
Trains
Racer 75 has four trains with five cars each. Six people (three rows of two people) can be seated in each car. The passengers must be at least 1.12 m tall to be allowed to ride.
