Rechberg is a church village in the market town of Beratzhausen in the district of Regensburg in Bavaria . Until 1972, Rechberg gave its name to the municipality of Rechberg, based in Buxlohe.

history

Rechberg was part of the Ehrenfels rulership , which was incorporated into the Principality of Pfalz-Neuburg in 1568 . The Catholic pilgrimage and branch church of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary is essentially Gothic, baroque alterations were made from 1716. In 1777 the place became Bavarian . The municipality Rechberg came into being with the Bavarian municipal edict of 1818. It comprised the places Buxlohe (the municipality seat), Engelthal, Hölzlhof, Katharied, Mitterbügl, Neuhöfl, Neuhof, Oberbügl, Oberlichtenberg, Paarstadl, Puppenhof, Rauhbügl, Rauschhof, Rechberg, Ritzhof, Seelach , Sinngrün, Unterlichtenberg and Zehenthof. On January 1, 1972, the communities Rechberg and Mausheim were incorporated into Beratzhausen as part of the municipal reform.

Attractions

The Catholic pilgrimage and subsidiary church of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary is listed in the list of architectural monuments . The patronage of the church is celebrated annually on July 2nd, which is still an occasion for pilgrimages by believers mainly from Beratzhausen, Kallmünz , Hohenfels and Lupburg .
