Bar Association for the Oldenburg Higher Regional Court

The Bar Association for the Higher Regional Court District Oldenburg (RAK) is one of 28 bar associations in Germany. It is a corporation under public law and has its seat in Oldenburg , Lower Saxony . She is responsible for the lawyers in the district courts of Aurich , Oldenburg and Osnabrück . The self-governing organization has around 2,700 registered lawyers and law firms as members.

In addition to it, there are also the bar associations for the higher regional court districts of Celle and Braunschweig in Lower Saxony .

The main tasks of the Bar Association include:

  • Admission to the bar
  • Awarding of specialist lawyer titles
  • Professional supervision of the members
  • Advice and instruction of the chamber members in professional law issues
  • Participation in legal training
  • Representing the interests of the legal profession in relation to legislative and administrative bodies
