The Red Rock Peak (English for Red Rock Summit ) is a 2000 m high mountain in East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Concord Mountains, it rises 1.5 km north-northwest of Thomson Peak in the southern part of the Mirabito Range .
The New Zealand geologist Bradley Field of the New Zealand Geological Survey , a member of a team of the New Zealand Antarctic Research Program that worked in this area between 1980 and 1981 , named it descriptively after the reddish mudstone found here .
