Reece (* in Dortmund ; real name Dominic Klaus ) is a German rapper from Dortmund.

Life

Reece took an interest in hip hop as a child. First influences were Eminem and Beginner . After rapping the songs from them, he began to write his own songs. Among other things, he took part in a team battle at Feuer über Deutschland 2 .

Reece founded his own independent label Kopfnussmusik in 2009 and gave up his job as an IT systems engineer . At first only the mixtape Final Destination was released . First signing became a chord. In April 2013 the Disstrack Did you now what you want? , which was directed against the soccer player Mario Götze . Reece, Akkord One and MIKI , all three big fans of BVB Dortmund , criticized Götze's decision to leave the club behind and switch to Bayern Munich . Due to the harsh words and insults, Mario Götze complained because he felt his personal rights had been violated and demanded 25,000 euros in damages. The rappers who could not raise this amount called for donations on Facebook . A total of 3,000 euros were raised. Götze's lawyers then refrained from collecting the damages. The money should therefore go to the BVB foundation light on , but they refused to pay because of the Götze song. On April 5, 2013 Saad released his album SDoppelAD , on which Reece can be heard on the track Everything does not matter . In addition to his label work, he shot a few videos, including for Bosca and Saad.

With the first release Malochersohn , the debut album by Reeces buddy MIKI , the label entered the German charts at number 94. Reece himself was represented on three songs and produced the album. In the same year his second mixtape " Much Smoke About Nothing" was released .

In March 2015 Reeces debut album Paria was released , which reached number 37 in the German charts. In 2017 the sampler Suffkoppkommando 2 was released , in which Reece can be heard on 13 of the 16 songs.

In April 2019, Reece announced that it would retire from the rap business for the time being. His label Kopfnussmusik was closed. In August he announced on Facebook that he wanted to continue the label, but without signing other artists. In November 2019, he also stated that he wanted to leave Germany to travel the world as a digital nomad and find inspiration for his music. He announced a solo album for the second quarter of 2020 and an autobiography.
