The district Érd ( Hungarian Érdi járás ) is a district in the east of the central Hungarian Pest county . It borders in the north on the Budakeszi district , in the southeast on the Szigetszentmiklós district , in the south in a narrow piece on the Ráckeve district . Martonvásár County in the south-west and Bicske County in the north- west form the county border (both Fejér county ). In the east, the Érd district borders the capital Budapest .

history

The district was created for the Hungarian administrative reform in early 2013 from its forerunner, the small area of the same name (Hungarian Érdi kistérség ) and three municipalities of the small area Budaörs (Hungarian Budaörsi kistérség ), which was dissolved at the end of 2012 .
