Budaörs small area

The small area Budaörs ( Hungarian Budaörsi kistérség ) was a Hungarian administrative unit ( LAU 1) within Pest County in central Hungary . It bordered the city limits of Budapest in the east and was dissolved as part of the administrative reform at the end of 2012. Seven localities (with a total of 68,364 Ew.) Came in the Budakeszi district , three localities (Pusztazámor, Sóskút and the city of Törökbálint ) with a total of 17,271 inhabitants came in the Érd district .

At the end of 2012, 85,635 people lived in an area of ​​240.68 km². The population density of 356 inhabitants / km² was almost twice that of the entire county.

The administrative seat was in the city of Budaörs (27.306 Ew.), Three other places had the town charter : Budakeszi (13.707 Ew.), Biatorbágy (12.638 Ew.) And Törökbálint (13.015 Ew.). The 6 municipalities (Hungarian község ) had an average population of 3,162 (on 17.75 km² each).
