Szentendre small area
The small area Szentendre ( Hungarian Szentendrei kistérség ) was a Hungarian administrative unit ( LAU 1) in the north of Pest County in northern Hungary until the end of 2012 . The south of the small area (the localities Budakalász and Szigetmonostor ) touched the Hungarian capital Budapest . During the administrative reform of 2013, the area did not experience any changes, all 13 localities were transferred to the Szentendre district (Hungarian Szentendrei járás ).
At the end of 2012, 77,720 people lived in an area of 326.58 km². The population density was 238 inhabitants / km² above that of the county.
The administrative seat was in the city of Szentendre (25.274 Ew.), Pomáz (16.445), Budakalász (10.450 Ew.) And Visegrád (1.795) also had the town charter . Leányfalu (3.483 Ew.) Was the only large municipality (Hungarian nagyközség ). This and the 8 other municipalities ( község ) had an average population of 2,640 inhabitants (on an area of 20.59 km² each).
