Aszód small area

The small area Aszód ( Hungarian Aszódi kistérség ) was a Hungarian administrative unit ( LAU 1) within Pest County in central Hungary until the end of 2012 . In the course of the administrative reform at the beginning of 2013, all nine localities were transferred to the following district Aszód (Hungarian Aszód járás ), which was enlarged by two localities from the dissolved small area Veresegyház .

At the end of 2012, 34,289 inhabitants lived in an area of ​​241.39 km². The population density was 142 inhabitants / km² below that of the county.

The administrative seat was in the city of Aszód (6.163 Ew.), The largest city was Tura (7.721 Ew.). In the small area of ​​Aszód there were two large communities (Hungarian nagyközség ): Kartal (5,617 Ew.) And Bag (3,710 Ew.). These and five municipalities ( község in Hungarian ) had an average population of 2,915 (on 24.18 km² each).
