The Aszód district ( Hungarian Aszódi járás ) is a district in the northeast of the central Hungarian Pest county . The district borders in the west on the district Vác and in the southwest on the district Gödöllő . In the north, forming district Pásztó ( Nógrád ) the border in eastern, county Hatvan and in the southeastern district Jászberény (both Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok ).
history
During the Hungarian administrative reform in early 2013, the district emerged from the small area of the same name (Hungarian Aszódi kistérség ) and was expanded to include two municipalities from the small area Veresegyház (Hungarian Veresegyházi kistérség ), which was dissolved at the end of 2012 .
