Ráckeve ( Hungarian Ráckevei járás ) is a district in the southwest of the central Hungarian Pest county . It borders on the Szigetszentmiklós district in the north and Dabas district in the east . The circles Martonvásár and Dunaújváros ( Fejér county ) form the Komitatsgrenze the west, south of the county Kunszentmiklós ( Bács-Kiskun ).
history
The district was formed for the Hungarian administrative reform in early 2013 from its predecessor, the small area of the same name (Hungarian Ráckevei kistérség ). 9 of the 20 municipalities in the small area ended up in the newly formed district of Szigetszentmiklós to the north (33.6% of the area or 75.3% of the population of the then small area).

The Ráckeve district has an average parish size of 3,251 inhabitants on an area of 37.91 square kilometers. The population density of the district is about half that of the entire county. The district seat is in the only town, Ráckeve , in the west of the district.
