Budakeszi ( Hungarian Budakeszi járás ) is a district in the west of the central Hungarian Pest county . The district borders in the north on the district Pilisvörösvár , in the south on the district Érd . Bicske County ( Fejér County ) forms the county border in the west, Tatabanya and Esztergom counties in the northwest , both from Komárom-Esztergom County . Finally, the Budakeszi district borders the Hungarian capital Budapest .
history
The district was formed for the Hungarian administrative reform in early 2013 from parts of the small areas Budaörs (Hungarian Budaörsi kistérség ) (80.65% of the population) and Pilisvörösvár (Hungarian Pilisvörösvári kistérség ) (39.7% of the area).

The district Budakeszi has an average size of the community of 7,318 inhabitants in an area of 24.08 square kilometers. Without the four cities, these values decrease to 3,398 Ew. and 18.81 km², respectively. The district has the seventh highest population density in the county, it is higher than the county average. The district seat is located in the second largest city, Budakeszi , in the east of the district and adjacent to the Hungarian capital Budapest .
