Bicske (Hungarian Bicskei járás ) is a district in the northeast of the central Hungarian Fejér County . It borders on Komárom-Esztergom County to the north and west and Pest County to the east . Székesfehérvár , Gárdony and Martonvásár counties form the border within the county .

history

During the Hungarian administrative reform in early 2013, the Bicske district emerged from the small area of ​​the same name (Hungarian Bicskei kistérség ). 14 of the 16 municipalities were accepted into the successor group. 2 municipalities (with 3,291 inhabitants on 98.63 km²) came to the districts of Martonvásár (municipality of Vál ) and Székesfehérvár (municipality of Gánt ). This corresponds to a loss of area of ​​8.7% (population) and 15.9% (area).
