The Enying district (Hungarian Enyingi járás ) is a district in the southwest of the central Hungarian Fejér County . It borders Somogy County to the east and Tolna County to the south . Within the county, the border is the Székesfehérvár County in the north and Sárbogárd County in the east .

history

The Enying district was created in the course of the Hungarian administrative reform in early 2013 as the successor to the small area of the same name (Hungarian Enyingi kistérség ) made up of five of the nine municipalities. The four remaining parishes came into the newly created Polgárdi district . However, this was dissolved at the end of 2014 and the communities moved back again. Currently, all of the original nine municipalities are back in the district area.

The district of Enying has an average community size of 2,250 inhabitants on an area of ​​48.12 square kilometers. The population density of the smallest and least populous district is lower than that of the entire county . The administrative seat is the only town Enying , located in the northwest of the district.
